Winged Victory of Samothrace

Winged Victory of Samothrace

Depicting the goddess of Victory, Niké, this statue was created by Pythocritos son of Timocharis of Rhodes between 210–165 BCE, and is currently on display in the Louvre in Paris. In addition to dinosaur and other animal skeletons, I have found archeological relics preserved in stone particularly fascinating to draw.

Printed on high quality 100-lb cardstock.
